Kent County, Mich. — Four people were killed during a shooting Monday at a home near the western Michigan town of Cedar Springs, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Michelle LaJoye-Young told reporters Monday that deputies responded to the scene around 4 p.m. She said investigators aren’t searching for a suspect, and the sheriff’s office tweeted there is no threat to community safety.

We don’t have anybody outstanding that we’re looking for at this point, that the public can help us find,” LaJoye-Young said.
